IT Certification Training Program
Length: 300 Clock Hours
Objective: To provide access to technical-related certification programs (individually approved by TWC) over a specified time period to help train and prepare students to take multiple certification exams to enhance technical skills.
Admissions Requirement: Basic technical computer literacy to include demonstrated skills/knowledge to include IC3 Certification, computer assembly experience, or equivalent.

A+ Certification Training and Preparation
Length: 96 Clock Hours
Certification: A+
Objective: Training and preparation for CompTIA’s A+ certification including advanced hardware troubleshooting, operating system technologies, and general networking skills.
Admissions Requirement: Completion of IC3 Certification, computer assembly experience, or equivalent.
Description: The most recognized hardware certification in the world. A+ certification proves a broad base knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventative maintenance and basic networking.

Network+ Certification Training and Preparation
Length: 64 Clock Hours
Certification: Network+
Objective: Training and preparation for CompTIA’s Network+ certification including networking concepts and standards, network implementation and support and general network administration.
Admissions Requirement: A+ certification, completion of A+ Certification Training and Preparation, or equivalent experience.
Description: Network+ certification demonstrates your technical abilities in networking administration and support, and validates your knowledge of media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation, and network support. As the demand for skilled network support professionals grows, Network+ is quickly becoming the standard for networking competency.

Objective: Training in the basics of security within computer systems to include: Desktop security, threats and attacks, secure Internet access, malicious software and compliance and preparation for the EC-Council’s Security+ certification.
Admissions Requirement: Basic technical computer literacy to include skills learned in A+ and/or Network+ Certification Training and Preparation.
Description: Security+ certification covers industry-wide topics, including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attack and operational and organization security.

MCDST Certification Training and Preparation
Length: 32 Clock Hours
Certification: Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
Objective: Skills to be learned include Microsoft desktop support technician skills in the following areas: supporting users and troubleshooting a Microsoft Operating System and supporting users and troubleshooting desktop applications running on a Microsoft Operating System and preparation for the MCDST computer certification exam.
Admissions Requirement: Basic technical computer literacy to include skills learned in A+ and/or Network+ Certification Training and Preparation.
Description: The MCDST certification indicates that you have the skills to successfully support end-users and to successfully troubleshoot desktop environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system. Passing a Microsoft technical exam, such as the MCDST, will also earn the student Microsoft’s MCP certification.

CCNA Certification Training and Preparation
Length: 64 Clock Hours
Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Objective: Training and preparation for Cisco's CCNA certification focusing on routing & switching across the disciplines of network support to help students configure routers and switches for internetworking.
Admissions Requirement: A+/Network+ certification, completion of A+/Network+ Certification Training and Preparation, or equivalent experience.
Description: CCNA certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN, and includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. Also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, and access control lists (ACLs).
